WOODSTOCK SQUARE · GROUNDHOG DAY
Groundhog Day was filmed on this square, and the Opera House played the hotel. Before that, in 1934, a former Todd School student named Orson Welles ran a summer theater festival inside it. Paul Newman and Geraldine Page are Woodstock Players alumni. The city hall was built in 1889.
On the shirt: the Opera House and its tower, hand-drawn with a hatched, grainy texture in slate blue, tan and green, across the back. Beneath it: WOODSTOCK SQUARE, The Opera House, and the line GROUNDHOG DAY · CITY HALL 1889 · WELLES 1934. A tiny line below reads ORSON WELLES RAN A SUMMER THEATER FESTIVAL HERE, and a small Mayvick wordmark sits under the collar at the back. On the front, a small gold clock sits at the left chest with the Mayvick two-bar mark, two short slanted bars, printed tone on tone beside it.
- Back print, chest clock and two-bar mark: printed direct to garment (DTG)
- All graphics are printed, not stitched
- Lake Effect (Grey), garment-dyed heavyweight cotton
- Relaxed fit
- Care: machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle, with like colors. No fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print.
