Maxwell Street Polish Dad Hat

The Maxwell Street Polish comes from the stand at Maxwell and Halsted, there since 1939, handed across the counter to the market crowd. A grilled Polish on a soft bun, a pile of grilled onions, a line of yellow mustard and a couple of green sport peppers. It's still Chicago's other sandwich, and it still tastes best standing up.
