SQUARE CUT · TAVERN-STYLE THIN

Out here, thin crust gets cut in squares. People call it party cut, and it came out of Chicagoland taverns after the war, a snack for the bar more than a meal. Deep dish is for company.

On the back: DEEP DISH IS FOR COMPANY. / SQUARES ARE FOR US. over a thin pie cut in squares on a cardboard round, set on a sheet of deli paper printed TAVERN STYLE. SQUARE CUT. and DEEP DISH IS FOR TOURISTS. Under it, set as a legend: "They say the squares were cut so you could keep a beer in the other hand" and "Tavern-style thin · Chicagoland taverns, after the war".

On the front: one square piece at the left chest, with SQUARE CUT under it.

On the left sleeve: PARTY CUT, tone on tone.

  • Front, back and left sleeve: printed direct to garment (DTG). No Mayvick neck print; the back print gets the room.
  • Lemont Stone (Ivory), 6.1 oz/yd² ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed
  • Relaxed fit

Care: machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle, with like colors. No fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print.
