BACK OF THE YARDS
The Union Stock Yards closed in 1971. The gate on Exchange Avenue stayed. The limestone gate is traditionally attributed to Burnham & Root, a stone bull's head sits over the arch, and nearby a memorial honors the 21 firefighters killed in the 1910 yards fire.
On the shirt: the gate across the back, every stone course drawn, and a small chest block on the front.
