NILES, ILLINOIS
Full story
There's a leaning tower in Niles, a suburb just northwest of Chicago, and it leans on purpose. Robert Ilg built it on Touhy Avenue in 1934 to hide a water tank. It's 94 feet tall, about half of Pisa's, and leans 7.4 feet off plumb. Niles and Pisa have been sister cities since 1991, which is the most Niles thing we know. A shirt for every family photo where somebody pretended to hold it up.
The tower and LEANS 7.4 FT OFF PLUMB printed up front, our mark at the back yoke. Midweight 6.1 oz garment-dyed cotton tee, relaxed fit, true to size.
Verse: Psalm 127:1, printed at the back of the neck.
Care
machine wash cold, inside out, gentle cycle, with like colors. No fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Do not iron the print.
