The Catlow has stood on Main Street in Barrington since 1927. Wright Catlow had it built to look like an English hall, with a half-timbered gable over the door and a blue blade sign that still spells out THE CATLOW. Inside, Prairie School sculptor Alfonso Iannelli carved grinning faces into the beams. It went on the National Register in 1989. If you saw your first movie there, you've never really left.
